One month in the blockade. The Internet is shut down in Artsakh

  • On January 12, a teleconference dedicated to the month of the blockade of Artsakh was held: "The month of the blockade in the face of the humanitarian crisis." It was attended by the Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan, Human Rights defender Gegham Stepanyan, members of the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Artsakh, citizens affected by the blockade.

During the discussion, Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan stressed that "the struggle of the people of Artsakh is not a struggle against the blockade, but a struggle for their right to live on their land, in their homeland, with their laws, their values."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh Sergey Gazaryan stated that the blockade of Artsakh is a problem of the entire civilized world: "There were also specific statements by France, the USA, Ireland and other countries, international organizations. Our main message is as follows: the blockade of Artsakh is not only a problem of the Armenian people. This is a problem of the entire civilized and developed world."

  • The Internet is shut down in Artsakh. According to the Artsakh Internet provider, the cable was damaged in the part where the so-called environmental activists blocked the Lachin corridor.
