Meduza special correspondent Liliya Yapparova went to Artsakh and found out how the non-recognized republic survived the first two months of the blockade.
"During the first days of the blockade, severe patients from Stepanakert were not evacuated at all. Soon the Red Cross began to take them out: cars crossed the blockade accompanied by Russian peacekeepers and police. "This happens once or twice a week," Narine Aghabalyan, advisor to the State Minister of the non-recognized NKR, clarifies to Meduza.
Nevertheless, the Azerbaijani authorities deny the very existence of the blockade.
