The Paris City Council unanimously adopted a resolution "On providing urgent assistance to the people of Artsakh and the Artsakh people who have found refuge in the Republic of Armenia."
The resolution stresses that as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blocking of the Lachin corridor, 120,000 residents of Artsakh have been cut off from the rest of the world since December 12, 2022, and also makes reference to the resolution adopted by the Paris City Council on November 27, 2020, calling on the French government to recognize the Republic of Artsakh and once again emphasizes the solidarity of the Paris City Hall with the Armenian people.
The City Council also authorizes the Mayor of Paris to call on other administrative-territorial units of France and foreign cities to join the urgent support initiative, the purpose of which is to support the Artsakh people who have taken refuge in the Republic of Armenia and to deliver food to the people of Artsakh through a humanitarian convoy.
