USA | "We condemn Azerbaijan's aggressive actions in Nagorno-Karabakh. It is particularly disturbing that Azerbaijanis are allowed to protest freely only when it threatens the lives of Armenians."

The co-Chairs of the Commission on Armenian Issues of the US Congress Frank Pallone, Gus Bilirakis, Jackie Speier, David Valadao and Adam Schiff condemned the actions of Azerbaijan.
"We condemn Azerbaijan's aggressive actions in Nagorno-Karabakh. It is particularly disturbing that Azerbaijanis are allowed to protest freely only when it threatens the lives of Armenians. The blocking of the Lachin corridor is systematic. This is aimed at blocking the movement of transport, the only way to deliver food, medicines and other vital goods to Artsakh, as well as restricting the free movement of residents of Artsakh.
According to additional information, Azerbaijan has also cut off one of the main sources of natural gas supply to residents of this area, leaving tens of thousands of people without heating, as it happened in March this year.
Azerbaijan's closure of vital lines or the threat of their closure once again turns these important infrastructures into weapons in their hands, and creates a humanitarian crisis for Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was preceded by a series of oppressions of the Armenian people, encouraged by the loud rhetoric of the Aliyev regime. These oppressions are documented.
We call on the United States and our European partners to use all the diplomatic tools at their disposal to stop this obviously fabricated crisis created by Azerbaijan, return Aliyev to the negotiating table through the OSCE Minsk Group and other multilateral peace processes and ensure the participation of the people of Artsakh in these discussions."
